Whether you're stopping by for lunch or enjoying a family dinner, the generous portions and quick service typically ensure you leave filled with joy—just don’t forget to try the HUMONGOUS soup that customers rave about!

“ Solid Mexican restaurant. Service was a bit hit or miss. Salsa could be spicier. Really good variety menu. Great atmosphere. Overall, I'd recommend. ”
“ Your server Mario has got to go. When he has 2 tables to attend to and we still have to wait 15 minutes for the check after he gave us our to go boxes. Then when we ask for the check again he barks at us and says he's busy. Rude. We are heavy tippers sometimes 50 percent, but he got nothing I still have the restaurant 5 stars because every time we have went there the food and service was great ”
“ Impressed! Very big inside, nice decor, & clean! Service was good and the food was quick! Would recommend! *Ps, the soup is HUMONGOUS! ”
“ Great Food, But Poor Management Experience First and foremost, Chimi’s in Bridgeton is a great place to eat! The food and drinks are always amazing, and my family and I have been loyal customers for a long time. We come almost every Tuesday and always get the same server—it truly feels like a family atmosphere. However, this review is specifically about the two managers working tonight (Friday, 3/14/2025), Linda and Maria. Tonight, I ordered a gallon of margarita to go, and Linda’s initial response was, “Well, you know it’s like 80,” in a tone that felt dismissive and condescending, as if I couldn’t afford it. I never even asked for the price—I simply placed my order—so her response came off as unnecessary and rude. Then, I was refused service for not having my physical ID. I understand the importance of following rules, but what made this frustrating was the inconsistency. My family and I come here regularly, and we have never once been ID’d when ordering drinks—including the last time I ordered a margarita to go, which Linda herself served me without asking for an ID. This kind of selective enforcement is what makes the experience frustrating. To make matters worse, when I simply asked for the contact information of a general manager or higher-up, both Linda and Maria refused to provide a name other than their own. I wasn’t trying to argue or question the policy further—I just wanted clarification on the standard operating procedure. Their dismissive attitude and lack of professionalism were disappointing, especially considering how much my family and I consistently spend and tip at this restaurant. Again, Chimi’s is a great place—the food, drinks, and regular servers make it worth coming back. But tonight’s experience with management was irritating and disappointing. If policies are going to be enforced, they should be enforced consistently—not only when it’s convenient for certain employees. ”
“ Come here regularly for lunch break and always leave full and happy. The service is always friendly and quick, restaurant clean and food is always delicious. Will continue to give them my business and you should too. ”
“ One of the best Mexican restaurants in STL! Their salsa – chunky with visible chunks of tomato and onion with cilantro – is great with just the right amount of kick. Their namesake chimichangas are fantastic. I don’t like rice and beans so I got a side order which didn’t include all the usual garnishments, but it was fantastic. Crazy fast service, too. I was in and out in 20 minutes. ”
“ We like the food, and the service was good. The only thing we didn't like was that they included the tip on your bill. ”
“ Was a pleasant surprise to find an authentic version this far up in the mid west. I was driving looking for something to eat and stumbled upon it. Food was good and fast out of the kitchen. Chips and salsa were above average small but mighty is the theme here. Take a chance and give it a try soon. ”
